Been a bit since I last updated. Sorry about that. I've not been idle though. Went to Vegas, visited family, got a cold, worked way too hard...and of course, been drawing like mad. I've been doing some work-related graphics stuff, which I'm not going to show off here because, well, work is boring. Or, at least, not entertaining enough to go on about when there are other grand things to show.
Other than work related graphics, I've recently delved back into the world of The Labyrinth. Some of you may recall other Labyrinth fanart that I've done, like Jareth (old and new-ish), Sarah (old and not-quite-as-old), and a Hoggle Get-Well card. Now, I have a shiny new Hoggle drawing to show off. This is done in oil pastels on black paper and is, in my humble opinion, a fitting drawing for the month of Halloween.
I also created a darker version of this, but what it gained in depth it seems to lose in visibility. Check that one out if you'd like to see the changes.
Also, as a I'm-sorry-for-not-posting-for-two-weeks bonus, here's a pretty Trick or Treat special:

Oh lordy me, talk about eye candy! Or getting what you wish for. Nice pics. Sweet of you to go to the trouble of loading these into your blog so I (and the rest of the... um... dreamers) can get any eyeful, so to speak.
I went to your deviant art page, too, to ooo and ahh over Jareth there. I may become a fan of Labyrinth and fantasy yet! (Fantasy outside of my own mental images, that is. ^.~ )
Thanks, Anika.

LOL. Glad you like. Jareth is gorgeous. Played by David Bowie, which means on top of being sexy as sin, he's also got a voice to make you melt. I lust him. ^.~
You know, Artist Anika, I like pretty, cute, handsome, hunk, etc. Hoggle doesn't fit any of those descriptions. But I must admit you draw ugly, scary, and frightening very well (as you do all the others). He hurts my eyes. So as a Halloween project, you get A+. Hope I don't dream about Hoggle tonight. ^.^
P.S. Next time draw Lucivar in tights with a poet's shirt unbuttoned down to his navel and put an eye mask on him as a Halloween costume. ^.~

LOL. Hoggle isn't supposed to be pretty, he's supposed to be somewhat odd looking. It's kind of the theme of The Labyrinth - that not everything is as it seems. A kind of "Don't judge a book by it's cover" theme. Well...that's one of many themes in the movie, anyway.
Glad you like him though. ^.^
Your description of a hunk in tights and an unbuttoned poet shirt does very accurately describe another character of the movie: Jareth. He is yummy. I'm putting a picture below so you can get your hunk quota met. ^.~
Okay, so this picture doesn't show his "poet shirt," but I love it, so I cheated a little. He really does wear a poet shirt though. Click the image to see a whole gallery of Labyrinth pics (lots of Jareth).
P.S. Jareth even wears a creapy mask at one point in the movie (for a masquerade ball):
