HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Posted On 2010-10-31 , 6:47 PM
Happy Halloween everyone!
Halloween is one of my, admittedly many, favorite holidays. It's a day where everyone gets to be creative, carving pumpkins, decorating, making interesting and disgusting looking treats, and, of course, dressing up and painting faces. So, in honor of holiday creativity, I thought I'd share this year's costume with you all:
The costume was my own design. Though all of the individual pieces were purchased, I combined them into my own creation, even sewing the feathers onto the dress and painting my own face.
The original idea was to be a Firey, a red bird-like humanoid creature from the movie "The Labyrinth." Instead, I ended up looking like some strange combination of that and Blix (a goblin from the movie "Legend). As I love both movies, I was pretty happy with the outcome, even if it wasn't what I initially intended. ^.^

| | 2. | I'm just wondering what time you had to get up Friday morning in order to do that lovely get-up and be on time for work? Nice job on your nails! ^.^
Reply to Marie:
I don't know if it is fortunate or unfortunate, but I had Friday off work. Was out of town visiting family (which was a LOT of fun), but that meant I didn't get to show off my costume at work. I did get to wear it to a costume party Saturday night though, which was a blast. Took about an hour and a half to get dressed and get the makeup on.....
On second thought, it's definitely fortunate I wasn't there to wear my costume to work. That would have meant getting up at 6:00 at LATEST and I just DON'T DO mornings!!!
