Wicked is my latest obsession. And yes, this obsession did, in part, originate from Aubrey's family. Though, I can't say that it all came from them. I absolutely love the musical and the book, which I am currently re-reading.
This drawing is seen on the original book cover, though I changed it somewhat. I added more detail to the overall image (making the shirt and cape a little more distinguishable). I also made Elphaba look a little younger and more beautiful. Finally, I added some of the lyrics to the opening and final songs of the Broadway play (check out Broadway Musical Nut: Wicked for information on the musical).
